Constant load equals constant great tone

BUF1 is our famous high-impedance input buffer, designed to provide a completely transparent buffering solution to ensure a consistent sound from your guitar.

Our design goal was to retain the sound of your guitar plugged directly into the amp, while providing an interface to additional stomp boxes – without altering your guitar tone or add any noise to the signal chain.

It utilizes two independent buffers with separate inputs and outputs. BUF1 is perfect for serving as the first and last unit on any pedalboard. In systems with multiple stompboxes, additional line drivers may be required for the best performance.

The first buffer converts your high-impedance guitar signal to a low-impedance output, enabling it to drive stompboxes without tonal change or added noise. BUF1 is a unity gain buffer.

The second unity gain line driver leads your signal along to your amp. Again, there is no tonal change or noise added to the signal at this stage.

When activated, the Mute function shuts down the signal for the Output jack going to your amp. However, the Tuner output jack is still active to allow for silent tuning.

Further, BUF1 is housed in a rugged steel chassis that is built to withstand the challenges of extensive daily use and continuous touring. We have carefully selected all components to ensure superior sonic qualities, minimal noise and reliable use for years and years.

BUF1 features our unique RFI protection. All ¼” jack connectors are gold-plated, and all internal wiring utilizes high-quality, shielded audio cable with minimum DC resistance and capacity.
